Original Parker Knoll oak armchair dating to February 1956, clearly stamped to the underside with Parker Knoll factory markings and the Air Ministry “AM” crown stamp. This chair is model 21B / 2051 and was manufactured for official Air Ministry or government use, making it an uncommon and historically important example of British mid-century furniture.

The chair features a solid oak frame with gently curved arms and clean, functional lines typical of post-war British institutional design. It retains its original black leatherette upholstery to both the seat and backrest, which remains in good condition for its age with only light, expected wear. The original woven seat base is also intact beneath the upholstery. The oak frame shows a well-developed patina consistent with age, while remaining solid, stable, and fully usable.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a fully dated Parker Knoll chair with clear Air Ministry provenance and original upholstery. Ideal for collectors of mid-century furniture, British design, or military and government-issued interiors, and equally suited for use as a desk chair, office chair, or statement piece in a study or living space.
