A handsome antique Victorian oak open bookcase with five fixed shelves and attractive carved moulded decoration throughout. Dating from the late Victorian period, the bookcase features a solid boarded back, warm aged oak tones and well-executed decorative detailing to the cornice, shelf fronts and uprights. Offering excellent storage and display space for books, ceramics, collectables or decorative items, it has a timeless country house and library appearance. The bookcase remains solid and sturdy with a pleasing aged patina acquired over many years of use. There are surface marks, scuffs and wear to the top and shelves consistent with age and use, as shown in the photographs, but nothing that detracts from its practical use or overall character. A good honest Victorian piece with plenty of antique charm.

Delivery: I advertise as local pick-up but appreciate that not all of you live close enough to collect, so if it helps, I can arrange for cheap local delivery (please ask for a quote).

You can of course use any number of alternatives such as Anyvan, Shiply, Parcel2go or parcelmonkey all of whom you can find on the internet and can provide a reasonable price but less personal service. Very simple to use and many of my customers advise that they provide a good service.

Please note that if you wanted me to wrap for collection there would be a small cost for materials (cardboard, bubble wrap, tape etc).
