A stylish vintage mid century teak bureau by Turnidge of London Ltd, complete with its original manufacturer's label. This attractive 1960s style writing bureau features a distinctive sloping fall front, which opens to reveal a practical writing surface and a fitted interior with multiple letter and stationery compartments. Beneath are four spacious drawers, each fitted with distinctive circular recessed wooden handles, while the cabinet stands on a raised wooden base with angular legs and cross supports. The warm teak veneer, clean architectural lines and beautifully crafted dovetail drawer joints give the piece a classic British mid century modern appearance with Scandinavian influences. The fall front retains its original key and metal support stays, offering a useful compact home office workstation that also provides generous bedroom or living room storage. Presented in good vintage condition overall, with visible surface scratches, small marks, minor edge wear and some variation in the finish consistent with age and use, as shown in the photographs.

Delivery: I advertise as local pick-up but appreciate that not all of you live close enough to collect, so if it helps, I can arrange for cheap local delivery (please ask for a quote).

You can of course use any number of alternatives such as Anyvan, Shiply, Parcel2go or parcelmonkey all of whom you can find on the internet and can provide a reasonable price but less personal service. Very simple to use and many of my customers advise that they provide a good service.

Please note that if you wanted me to wrap for collection there would be a small cost for materials (cardboard, bubble wrap, tape etc).
