A characterful pair of 19th century Victorian oak dining chairs featuring traditional bergere cane back panels set within solid oak frames, raised on turned legs with stretcher supports. The seats are upholstered in brown leather with decorative brass stud edging, while the tops are finished with distinctive carved lion head finials and ornate brass carry handles. One chair has some losses to the cane back, and there is light marking to the leather seats, all reflected in the price. These chairs show a full and honest history of wear, with historic repairs visible throughout, yet they have been well maintained over the years and remain in good solid structural order, ready for continued everyday use or as decorative period pieces.

Offered in used antique condition with signs of age, wear and previous use, as might be expected and is mentioned and pictured for accuracy. Please see photos for the best description and any marks that should be noted. Click images to enlarge.

Please get in touch and provide your location and postcode and I will make enquiries for you. Should you decide to proceed, arrangements & payment are required directly between you and the courier.

You can of course use any number of alternatives such as Anyvan, Shiply, Parcel2go or parcelmonkey all of whom you can find on the internet and can provide a reasonable price but less personal service. Very simple to use and many of my customers advise that they provide a good service.

Please note that if you wanted me to wrap for collection there would be a small cost for materials (cardboard, bubble wrap, tape etc).
