A handsome vintage oak bureau bookcase combining practical storage with classic period styling, featuring a drop front writing surface opening to a fitted interior with pigeonholes and small drawers, above two glazed cabinet doors with decorative leaded oval panels. The glass panels have a gentle inward curve, which appears consistent with the design and construction, if flat the glass would not fit the aperture, suggesting this is an original feature. The upper section provides display shelving, while the lower drawers offer additional storage, all raised on turned supports with a shaped stretcher base. Crafted in oak with attractive grain throughout, this piece reflects traditional early 20th century revival styling and remains in very good original condition, presenting beautifully and ready for use.

The secretariat come into two parts for easy transport.

Offered in vintage used condition with signs of age, wear and previous use, as might being expected and is mentioned and pictured purely for accuracy. Please see photos for the best description and any marks that should be noted. Click images to enlarge.

Delivery: I advertise as local pick-up but appreciate that not all of you live close enough to collect, so if it helps, I can arrange for cheap local delivery (please ask for a quote).

You can of course use any number of alternatives such as Anyvan, Shiply, Parcel2go or parcelmonkey all of whom you can find on the internet and can provide a reasonable price but less personal service. Very simple to use and many of my customers advise that they provide a good service.

Please note that if you wanted me to wrap for collection there would be a small cost for materials (cardboard, bubble wrap, tape etc).
