An unusual Indian brass clad dowry chest or storage trunk with extensive hand worked decoration throughout, featuring engraved diamond pattern panels, studded borders and shaped bracket feet. The hinged top opens to a spacious interior while the front locking compartment adds further character and practicality. Constructed with a timber carcass fully clad in an embossed brass sheet, this piece has a strong Anglo Indian aesthetic and works equally well as a coffee table. A highly decorative statement piece with good age and rich surface patina.

Offered in good used condition with minimal signs of age, wear and previous use, as might be expected and is mentioned and pictured purely for accuracy. Please see photos for the best description and any marks that should be noted. Click images to enlarge.
Delivery: I advertise as local pick-up but appreciate that not all of you live close enough to collect, so if it helps, I can arrange for cheap local delivery (please ask for a quote).

Please get in touch and provide your location and postcode and I will make enquiries for you. Should you decide to proceed, arrangements & payment are required directly between you and the courier.
You can of course use any number of alternatives such as Anyvan, Shiply, Parcel2go or parcelmonkey all of whom you can find on the internet and can provide a reasonable price but less personal service. Very simple to use and many of my customers advise that they provide a good service.
Please note that if you wanted me to wrap for collection there would be a small cost for materials (cardboard, bubble wrap, tape etc).
