Four Mid Century Chrome Folding Chairs Black Vinyl Space Age MCM Retro Chic

PRICED AS COLLECTION ONLY FROM PE12
See Description for delivery options

A stylish and unusual set of four vintage folding chairs dating from around the 1970s, featuring slender square-section chrome frames with padded black vinyl seats and gently curved upholstered backrests. The clever articulated folding mechanism allows each chair to close to an exceptionally slim depth of approximately 7cm, making them ideal as occasional dining chairs, additional entertaining seating or stylish space-saving seating for a smaller interior. Their combination of polished chrome, black upholstery and exposed folding mechanisms gives them a strong Mid-Century Modern / Space Age appearance. No manufacturer's marks or labels have been found, so we have deliberately left the maker unattributed. Signs of age, wear and previous use as expected, including general surface wear and ageing to the chrome, a scuff to the corner of one backrest and some replacement fixings evident within the folding mechanisms. These points are reflected in the price and can be seen in the photographs.

Offered as a matching set of four, price is for all four chairs.

Height 82cm, Width 42cm, Seat Height 45cm, Seat Depth 37cm, Depth Open 48cm, Depth Closed 7cm.

Offered in used vintage condition with signs of age, wear and previous use, as might be expected and is mentioned and pictured purely for accuracy. Please see photos for the best description and any marks that should be noted. Click images to enlarge.
