A stylish Arts and Crafts armchair with a solid hardwood frame, shaped arms and a tall slatted back featuring carved decorative details to the crest rail and central splat. Dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, the chair has been fully stripped and professionally reupholstered in William Morris Acanthus fabric, one of the designer’s most iconic flowing leaf patterns associated with the Arts and Crafts movement. The warm polished frame contrasts beautifully with the richly coloured upholstery, creating an attractive and comfortable period chair ideal for a study, hallway, bedroom or reading corner. The collage photographs show the chair during the restoration and reupholstery process.

Offered in used antique condition with signs of age, wear and previous use, as might be expected and is mentioned and pictured purely for accuracy. Please see photos for the best description and any marks that should be noted. Click images to enlarge.

Delivery: I advertise as local pick-up but appreciate that not all of you live close enough to collect, so if it helps, I can arrange for cheap local delivery (please ask for a quote).

Please get in touch and provide your location and postcode and I will make enquiries for you. Should you decide to proceed, the courier service is independent and arrangements & payment are required directly between you and the courier.

You can of course use any number of alternatives such as Anyvan, Shiply, Parcel2go or parcelmonkey all of whom you can find on the internet and can provide a reasonable price but less personal service. Very simple to use and many of my customers advise that they provide a good service.

Please note that if you wanted me to wrap for collection there would be a small cost for materials (cardboard, bubble wrap, tape etc).
