An elegant antique Edwardian mahogany music cabinet dating to the early 20th century, circa 1900–1910, displaying the refined characteristics of the Sheraton Revival style. The cabinet features beautifully figured mahogany veneer, delicate contrasting string inlay, geometrically framed double panel doors and slender square tapering legs, creating a particularly attractive and well-proportioned piece of period furniture. The two doors open to reveal five removable wooden shelves, providing six separate storage compartments originally suited to sheet music, musical manuscripts and folios. This versatile cabinet would also make a charming gentleman's literary cupboard, document cabinet or compact storage piece for a study, living room or bedroom. The decorative inlay continues around the sides and top, adding further quality and visual appeal. A key is included but does not operate the lock and is used as a handle to open the doors. Presented in good antique condition with the expected surface scratches, minor knocks, marks and wear consistent with age and use. There is more noticeable rubbing and wear to the lower legs and feet, together with some marking to the interior shelves and rear panel, as shown in the photographs.
