This handsome piece has a generously proportioned rectangular top with rounded edges, an impressive moulded cornice and elegant bracket feet. A particularly appealing feature is the pair of cleverly concealed slim drawers incorporated into the upper cornice moulding, creating discreet additional storage while maintaining the chest's traditional appearance. Beneath these are six generously sized drawers arranged in two columns of three, each fitted with a pair of antique silver tone metal knobs. The recessed panelled drawer fronts, substantial mouldings, panelled sides and warm polished timber give the chest an attractive country house character. The combination of six conventional drawers and two almost hidden upper drawers makes this a particularly practical and interesting piece of bedroom furniture, equally suited to traditional, Georgian inspired or classic contemporary interiors. Presented in good used condition with attractive natural wood grain and a warm finish, showing some surface scratches, minor knocks, marks and variations in colour, together with general wear inside the drawers consistent with previous use, as shown in the photographs.

Dimensions: height 86cm, depth 54cm, width 137cm.

Offered in used vintage condition with signs of age, wear and previous use, as might be expected and is mentioned and pictured purely for accuracy.
