The underside retains the original Benchairs Somersham Cambridgeshire makers stamp, confirming its provenance and period. The four gently splayed legs are joined by substantial cross stretchers, creating a strong practical construction with classic vintage pub, bar and kitchen styling. The tan upholstery has developed attractive age-related character and patina, while the wooden frame shows minor marks and wear consistent with previous use.
