Featuring an attractive octagonal oak top with decorative carved edging, beautifully figured grain and a warm golden brown finish, this characterful piece stands on four substantial upright oak supports with two additional open shelves beneath, creating a practical three tier book table design. The architectural construction and open shelving arrangement are characteristic of early 20th century book tables, designed to accommodate books, magazines and reading materials beside an armchair or sofa. Its compact proportions make it equally suitable as an occasional side table, lamp table, bedside table or decorative display stand. The attractive oak grain, geometric silhouette and traditional detailing give the piece considerable decorative appeal, particularly for collectors of Art Deco, Arts & Crafts and Heal's-style furniture. Presented in good vintage condition with an attractive aged patina, showing surface marks, minor scratches, darker areas of discolouration to the shelves and general wear consistent with age and use. The design is reminiscent of Heal & Son furniture of the period, although no maker's attribution has been confirmed.

Dimensions: height 55cm, depth 42cm, width 42cm.

Offered in used vintage condition with some signs of age, wear as might be expected for it's age, mentioned and pictured purely for accuracy.
